Çocukluk dönemimde babamın bir teybi vardı. Yatık çanta tipi. Almanya’dan hediye gelmişti.
Babam bu teybine çok değer verir bizi elletmezdi. Sık sık mahalledeki köylülerimizle sofra kurar içki içerlerdi.
Bu muhabbet sırasında mutlaka teypte halk ozanlarının kasetlerini dinlerdik.
Abdullah Papur, Ali Özcan, Aşık Nesimi, Ali Kızıltuğ, Aşık Mahsuni en çok dinlediğimiz aşıklardı. Hz. Ali’yi bu kasetlerde duydum. Babam özellikle “Ali-Ali” diyerek kolunu sallayınca coştuğunu anlıyordum. Çocuk aklımla babamın sevdiği Ali’yi ben de sevdim. Anladığım kadarıyla biz sahipsiz değildik. Yaslandığımız dağ, tutunacak dalımız Hz. Ali’ydi.
Dinlediğim türkülerin müziğinden çok sözlerine dikkat ediyordum. Bu sözlere göre Ali hakkında edindiğim bilgiler vardı. O güvenilir ve yiğit biriydi.
Fakir insanların babasıydı. Alevilerin en sevdiği insandı. Allah’ın aslanıydı ve Zülfikar isimli bir kılıcı, Düldül adında bir atı vardı.
Gittiğim komşu evlerinde duvarda yeşil sarıklı güzel gözlü heybetli ve sakallı bir resim gördüm. Kıyafeti bizim giydiklerimize benzemiyordu.
Hemen tanıdım bu Hz. Ali’den başkası olamazdı. Gönlümde yaşattığım Ali artık belirsiz biri değildi. O yüzü çok sevdim.
O zaman niyaz etmesini bilmiyordum tabii ki. Ancak yüzüne, gözlerine uzun uzun bakıyordum.
Lise yıllarımda biriktirdiğim harçlığımla ben de kasetler satın almaya başladım.
Üzerinde Hz. Ali resmi olanları arıyordum daha çok. Çünkü o kasetlerde Hz. Ali ile türküler mutlaka vardı.
Yıllar sonra Zöhre Ana’ya geldim. Kalabalıktı. Oturduğu odaya sığamamıştık. Eşim ve çocuklarımla koridordaydık. Kalabalık olan odada birden sessizlik oldu. Koridordakilerde susutular. Sonra bir ses gülbek okumaya başladı. Gülbenkteki sözleri ilk defa duyuyordum Ama bana yabancı değildi. Zöhre Ana’nın sesi çok etkileyiciydi. Hıçkırarak ağlıyordum ama daha yüzünü görmemiştim. Bir süre sonra yavaş yavaş içeriye doğru diz üstünde ilerliyorduk.
Eşiğe geldiğimde onu gördüm. Odayı gözlerimle taradım. Duvarda sevgili Hz. Ali’nin resmi ve Atatürk’ün maskı vardı. Buranın bize ait olduğunu hissettim. Artık bu kapının benim için çok önemli olacağını hissettim. Zöhre Ana’ya yanaşarak sorularına cevap alanları, dertlerine dermen bulanları izledim. Sıra bendeydi. Yüzüme baktı ben de ona baktım. O da Hz. Ali gibi sevecendi, dosttu, güvenilirdi. Artık sahipsiz ve çaresiz değildim.
Nasıl niyaz edeceğimi arkadaşım öğretmişti. Ama onun dediği gibi söyleyemedim.

Posta eğildiğimde verdiğim ilk niyazım şöyleydi:
